Day 20: Texts, Fonts, and Lists

Today we went over fonts.  Here's some notes!

Serif: Have letters that taper off.  Examples of Serif typefaces are Times and Georgia.

Sans-Serif: Have stroke endings that are plain (do not taper off), without any finishing strokes or ornamentation.  Examples are Helvetica and Verdana.

Monospace: All letters and characters have the same fixed width, and they each occupy the same amount of horizontal space.  Examples are Courier and Lucida Console.

I made my first modification to my portfolio webpage.  It was pretty easy to do, I just downloaded the contact.html file to my computer (from the SFTP software), made the desired changes, saved the file, then uploaded the file into the SFTP, overwriting the previous saved file.  I went onto the web, and my changes were already live!  Sweet!  As I learn new skills, I'll be updating my portfolio page in order to have a chance to put those new skills into action!
